In 1985, the first Swiss exhibition of paper cut was held in Winterthur and then in Bulle. It was so successful that, the following year, the Swiss Paper Cut Association was founded in Unterseen (BE) by a group of enthusiasts.

In 2026, it will celebrate it’s 40th anniversary.

To mark the occasion, it is organising an exhibition open to all its members, based on a theme inspired by the ruby wedding anniversary:

Ruby Jubilee, 40 years of passion for paper cutting.

The ruby, a passionate red gemstone, echoes the flame and the life that animates them. Because a lot has happened in forty years:

ten national exhibitions, exhibitions in Bern, a trip to Japan, another to China… and so many encounters. But above all, these years bear witness to the creativity of the artists, their desire to surpass themselves and express themselves through paper and a pair of scissors or a scalpel. They reflect their passion for an art form that has stood the test of time.

Come and discover the hundred or so works on display and, together with the artists, pay tribute to creativity!
