“Papercutting Hearts”

A woman dressed in nostalgic clothing and a woman with a modern style, they cut one sheet of paper in their own way. The paper transforms into paper cutting and comes to life. The light that gently illuminates their hands shines with gold. In the past and now, the hearts of people who love paper cutting connect and continue into the future. With this work, I celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Swiss Paper Cutting Association.

懐かしさを感じさせる装いの女性と、現代的なスタイルの女性が、それぞれのやり方で一枚の紙を切っていく。紙は切り絵へと姿を変え、命を宿す。二人の手元をやさしく照らす光は、金色に輝いている。
過去と現在――切り絵を愛する人々の心はつながり、未来へと受け継がれていく。
本作品は、スイス切り絵協会40周年を祝して制作しました。
